48 hours in Los Angeles that consisted of:

  • Eating blue velvet cake in fancy hotel beds we pushed together in the middle of the room
  • Museum of Jurassic Technology, my favorite museum of all time
  • Interpreting land at the Center For Land Use Interpretation
  • Listening to music solely composed in the year 1985
  • Eating cherry pie, donuts, and drinking David Lynch coffee at the 20th anniversary Twin Peaks art show with Laura’s mom and the Log Lady
  • Appreciating LA’s fierce commitment to living like it’s 1993
  • Caramel butterscotch walnut pancakes
  • Climbing around the zoo ruins in Griffith Park, eating watermelon popsicles
  • Eavesdropping on an apocalyptic bible study at the Bunny Museum in Pasadena
  • Eating at the In’n’Out Burger in Pasadena under a psychedelic sunset
