1994 was a good year to be 13 in. One of the last years to really have that thrill of discovering music pre-internet. Especially triumphant for someone raised in deep suburbia with no cool older siblings, for someone whose parents had long ago jumped the shark from Jefferson Airplane to Jefferson Starship.
